The Helsinki Public Works Department, design office Måndag and the nursery Meritähden lapset are working together to create a new nursery. This page follows the process of the children’s fence painting project and the renewing look of the worksite. The painting workshop is held by the street art group Multicoloured Dreams.

 

The nursery Meritähti works in Vuosaari and the building of it’s new space has been started. The new building rises to the vicinity of a shopping centre in the address Kivisaarentie 1. The nursery continues to work in it’s current place on Isonvillasaarentie until the new building is finished in the summer of 2014.

 

The future users of the nursery, the children, also participate in the making. The Public Works Departmentand the design office Måndag started a project, in which the children visualize the fences of the construction. Planning meetings with the children are being organized and the painting will start during the autumn 2013.
